Last trainingweekend --> Next week matchreports!!!

Next week we start with the 'Spring Cup' in Muiderzand. We used this last weekend to prepare the boat for racing and pimp it up a little bit (and the color pink has played a major role in it ;)...).  
Today was a beautiful day for sailing, lots of sun and about 10 knots (see video).

Strategie & Positionering



Best ever: Caramel Frappuccino

 Zondag was alweer de een na laatste trainingsdag voordat het voorjaarsbokaal van start gaat. Sanne heeft zaterdag in het zonnetje aan de boot geklust om de boot wedstrijd klaar te maken. Ook de trailer is voorzien van een roze glitter naambordje met de tekst : * Sappie * erop. De training werd gegeven door Mischa Heemskerk en Macca met als onderwerp strategie & positionering. Met het warme weer stapte menig stoere man op zijn boot in een wetsuit. De oefening bestond uit up en downwind oplijnen. Tijdens het oplijnen was het de bedoeling om uit elkaars vuile wind te komen. Met onze trouwe trainingsmaatjes hebben we heel wat rondjes gemaakt. We sloten de dag af met 2 wedstrijden en waren we net optijd op de kant toen de wind weg viel. Op Schiphol hebben we nog even aandacht besteedt aan ons strenge dieet door een frappuccino weg te werken.

Sanne used the opurtunity to go to the Hiswa on Friday, Saturday.....and why not: on Sunday too. To watch all the newest multihulls, sailing yachts, other water sports and sooo much more; to try some fun activities; but of course also to meet our fellow sailors, which we had to miss during the winter.

Next week is gonna be a sailing-week again, can't wait.....

Go Catsy Go!!!

Last saturday we trained together with another dutch Hobie16 Ladies team. Unfortunatly it was raining and it was a little foggy, but with 14-16 knots and between the 7-10 degrees, we didn't complain and enjoyed the day.

Sunday was an official trainingday, but once again...too much breeze. Soooooo...it became a theoretical clinic. After that we went to the HISWA* to build up a Hobie16. And guess what we found there....the sweetest, coolest and the cutest catamaran ever: Catsy.

While everybody was building up the whole Boat Show, Julie decided to use the opportunity to try this little Catsy out in the swimmingpool. I can tell you: it was hilarious. Of course they had not turned on the fans yet...
