6th place Springcup



First boat ready for take offff....

 Ok...at the end we where 6th (but 1th Hobie 16) in the Springcup (results: 8, 1, 2, 5, 10, 2th place), not bad...but we expected more of it. We draw 2 conclusions after this weekend; 1th: Dart 18's can sail soooooo freaking high to the wind when there's less then 8 knots of breeze (we sailed with multiple classes on handicap, among Dart 18's as well). Unfortunatly it happened a lot during the Springcup...happily ever after we sailed lots better with a little more breeze. 2th: We just need to practice light weather sailing more :). We hope Rob Heilbron (from SAPPH) can teach us someday, because he knows how to sail this kind of weather (he once won the Hobie16 Europeans 2002 and the Round of Texel with light breeze).

This Tuesday we are leaving to Carnac (France) for the Eurocat 2011 cup. We are really excited and we can't wait to go there! For all sailors: hope to see you there!!!!!
